Multan rugs come from the city of Multan, in Pakistani Punjab, a place with a rich artisanal tradition. They are made of wool, cotton, or a blend of the two materials, with possible silk details. The designs include floral motifs, arabesques, central medallions, and carefully decorated borders. The colors are warm and intense, such as red, blue, cream, and gold. The craftsmanship is entirely handmade, with a Persian knot, ensuring strength and long durability.
